Submit a trip request and BlueGold Travel will review the details. If the fit is right, a short consultation follows to discuss your priorities, timing and budget before planning begins.
Some journeys begin with a professional planning fee, covering research, itinerary design and coordination. Any fee is discussed and agreed upon before planning begins.
On qualifying bookings, preferred-partner amenities come at no additional cost: room or suite upgrades, daily breakfast for two, resort or onboard credits, early check-in and late check-out, all subject to availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of trips do you plan?
I plan European journeys, river and ocean cruises, hotel and resort stays, and travel for families and groups. What matters most is finding the right pace and places for your particular trip.
Why work with a travel advisor instead of booking directly?
I help sort through choices that look similar online but feel very different in person: the right ship, room, route and time of year. I also coordinate the moving parts and can advocate for you if plans change.
Can you help with a cruise?
Yes. I can compare ships, cabins and itineraries, then arrange the stays, transfers and experiences around the sailing. The best fit depends on how you want to spend your days, not just where the ship stops.
What does Virtuoso® affiliation mean for my trip?
Through my affiliation with a Virtuoso® member agency, I can request preferred amenities on qualifying bookings with participating partners. These vary by property and sailing and are subject to availability; I’ll explain what applies before you decide.
How do planning fees work?
Some complex or multi-stop journeys begin with a professional planning fee for research, itinerary design and trip management. I’ll discuss any fee with you before planning begins. Qualifying partner amenities do not add a separate charge.
How far in advance should I contact a travel advisor?
For complex international travel, river cruises and popular sailings, nine to eighteen months ahead is ideal. Closer dates can still work, especially when space opens through cancellations or held inventory.
Can you help if I already know which hotel or cruise I want?
Absolutely. You don’t have to hand over every decision. If you already know what you want, I can handle the booking, review room or cabin choices, request applicable preferred-partner amenities and coordinate the details around it.
Do you work with clients outside Orange County?
Yes. BlueGold Travel is based in Newport Beach, California, and works with travelers throughout the United States. Planning can be handled by phone, email and scheduled consultation.
